This is a Mobile Internet Device (MID) from Digifriends, which will be available from Sprint and Nextwave. The Digifriends MIS comes witha 4.8-inch touchscreen display with 1024×600 resolution, a VGA cam for video calls and a 2 Megapixel camera for you to take pictures.

Powered by an Intel Silverthorne 1.2Ghz CPU and Poulsbo US15 chipset, the MID has 1GB of memory, 30-60GB hard drive storage, support for WiFi 802.11b/g, WiMax, WiBro and Bluetooth. It supports also terrestrial DMB (DVB-H, 1-Seg) mobile TV reception.

CTL’s 2go PC is actually Intel Classmate PC 2. It is powered by an Intel Celeron M ULV 900MHz processor, 512MB of memory (Max 1GB), a 30GB hard drive. It has a 9-inch LCD display with 800×480 resolution.

The 2Go PC support Ethernet and WiFi 802.11b/g. It runs Windows XP Home. LaptopMag has posted a 2go PC review:

The 2go PC may not be a stellar performer, but considering its intended audience and price, it doesn’t have to be. Its rugged design, long battery life, and lightweight chassis all add to this mini-notebook’s appeal. However, the 2go’s small keyboard and lack of video input make it a better choice for kids and teens than for road warriors.

Toshiba presents in Japan its Dynabook Satellite TWX/69 laptop computer. Satellite TWX/69 packs an Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 2.5GHz CPU, 2GB RAM and ATi Radeon HD2600 graphic card. The laptop comes with a 15.4-inch LCD screen, a 120GB hard drive and a DVD burner.

Panasonic introduces its Atom-based rugged Toughbook CF-U1 UMPC. Toughbook CF-U1 is powered by Intel’s Atom processor, and comes with a 5.6-inch touchscreen LCD. Expected to launch in Fall, it runs Windows Vista.
