Lenovo has released its ThinkPad W500 and ThinkPad W700 notebook PCs. The W series mobile workstation is claimed to be the most powerful laptop from Lenovo.

The ThinkPad W500 is equipped with a Core 2 Duo T9400 processor 1GB of DDR3 memory, ATI Mobility FireGL V5700 with 512MB memory, and a 100GB hard drive. It has a 15.4-inch LCD WSXGA+ display.

ThinkPad W700 also get the Core 2 Duo T9400 processor. It comes with 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 160GB hard drive and NVIDIA Quadro FX-2700 graphics with 512MB RAM. It has a 17-inch WXGA+ LCD screen.

Both of them have WiFi connectivity. Buyer can also get the optiona WWAN, Bluetooth, and Mobile Broadband modules.

The prices of W500 and W700 starts at $1,629 and $2,978 respectively.

Lenovo announced the ThinkPad X301 laptop PC. The new ThinkPad X301 is powered by Intel’s Core 2 Duo ULV 1.2GHz or 1.4GHz CPU, up to 2GB of DDR3 memory and 64GB or 128GB SSD for storage. It comes with a 13.3-inch LCD display,WiFi and Bluetooth. Users may also want to get the optional WWAN, GPS, WiMax and UWB modules.

Available from  26th August, the X301 has a starting price of $2599.

Other than the 8.9-inch netbook, Lenovo is also offering the 10-inch IdeaPad S10 netbook. Like the S9, the S10 gets an Intel Atom 1.6GHz CPU, and up to 2GB of memory. Instead of SSD, the S10 has up to 160GB hard drive.

Two models will be available. The $399 models with 512MB and 80GB HDD and the $499 model with 1GB of memory and 160GBHDD.

Lenovo shows us its own netbook, facing the new challenges from Asus Eee PC, Acer Aspire as well as MSI Wind. Lenovo’s new laptop is the  IdeaPad S9. It is powered by an Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1GB RAM, and 8GB SSD. It has a 8.9-inch LCD screen. WiFi, Bluetooth and card reader can also be expected.

Coming in September, the IdeaPad S9 will be priced at NT$12,900.

Other than the T series, Lenovo is also offering the new Centrino 2 based R400 and R500 laptop PCs.

The ThinkPad R400 and R500 are powered by Intel’s processor, either Core 2 Duo or Celeron. They can have up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM and up to 320GB hard drive. There is also Intel’s integrated X4500 graphic card.

The R400 has a 14.1-inch LCD display and the R500 has a 15.4-inch screen. They feature WiFi, Bluetooth, Ethernet connectivity, ExpressCard slot, optional webcam, and  VGA out.

The R400 is available for a price from $1,005.00 and you have to pay a little bit more for R500 at a starting price $1,178.00.
